B2C (Business-to-Consumer)

B2C stands for Business to Consumer, which means that an organization sells products or services directly to consumers who buy these products or services without any intermediary. The B2C model is usually applied when an organization deals directly with customers without going through third parties like wholesalers or distributors.

It refers to business organizations selling their goods or services directly to customers instead of selling them through other businesses such as wholesalers or retailers; hence, it is also known as direct selling.

B2C Data Privacy Concerns

B2C data privacy concerns are growing in importance as more and more people choose to shop online. The B2C sector is increasingly being seen as a key area where the GDPR can be applied, given that the majority of B2C transactions happen online.

The B2C sector has been identified as an area where consumers are at risk from fraudsters and cybercriminals because of the large amount of personal information that is collected and stored about them. This is especially true for those companies that collect and store sensitive information such as financial or medical records.
