Right to Restriction

The Right to Restriction is the right of individuals to restrict the use of their personal data by third parties.

The main purpose of this right is to prevent the transfer or sale of personal data that could cause harm to an individual. For example, if a company wanted to sell your name and address on a mailing list, you would have the right to restrict this happening.

The right can also be used when there are concerns about how your data will be used or accessed by third parties. For example, if you had concerns about your bank selling your account details without your consent, you could use this right to restrict their actions.
