Privacy examples are things that you can use to help you explain the concept of privacy in your own words. They help you understand what privacy means, why it is important, and how it affects us as individuals and as a society.

Here are some privacy examples:
Privacy violations are real and they happen everywhere, all the time. They include things like having your personal information hacked by criminals or being photographed without your knowledge in public places.

The following scenarios illustrate how privacy violations happen:
In a medical setting: Your doctor's office has been hacked by someone who stole the personal information of millions of patients. Those records were then sold online for profit.

The victims' names, phone numbers, addresses and social security numbers were all included in the stolen data dump. The victims will now have to spend countless hours changing their passwords, updating their credit reports and dealing with identity theft for years to come because of this breach of security at their doctor's office!
