Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)

Osman Husain Apr 10, 2023 4:07:19 PM

Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) is a legal procedure that allows individuals to request all of their personal data from a company. This includes both the data they provided when signing up for an account, and any data that may have been collected by the company while they were using the service. Data subjects can also request access to other types of information, such as location data and IP addresses.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requires companies to provide this information within one month after receiving a valid request. If they fail to do so, they risk being fined up to 20 million euros or 4% of their annual revenue, whichever is higher.
