Social media cookies are the small pieces of information that a website can store on your computer or mobile device. Social media cookies are used to help make social networking sites work, allow us to improve the user experience and deliver personalized content.

Social media cookies are similar to other types of cookies we use in our daily lives. For example, when you purchase something online, the store might put a cookie on your computer so that it recognizes you when you visit again and reminds you of your preferences. If you've ever received a coupon from an advertiser based on an email you received from them or visited their site, then you've experienced another type of cookie at work.
