Do Not Track

Do Not Track (DNT) is a preference you can select in your web browser to opt-out of online behavioral tracking. When you enable Do Not Track, your browser sends a signal to websites, advertisers, and other entities that you visit on the Web that you do not want to be tracked.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has published a draft of guidance for companies operating websites and online services that collect data about consumers' online activities outside the context of a user's interaction with an ad or content unit on that site or service. The FTC recommends that companies honor DNT signals as part of their commitment to protect consumer privacy and avoid confusion about how they handle users' personal information.
