A Cookie Manager is a software program that allows you to edit the various cookie files on your computer. Cookies are small text files created by websites and stored on your computer when you visit them. Cookies are used to store data such as what kind of browsing preferences you have set while visiting a site, or if you are logged in or not.

Cookie Manager can be used to view or delete cookies or even block sites from storing cookies altogether.

There are many reasons why you may want to use a Cookie Manager:
To protect your privacy by blocking sites from storing cookies on your computer, thereby preventing them from gathering information about you (such as where you live and what kind of websites you visit). This is particularly important if you have children using the internet.

To make sure that only approved sites have access to information stored in your browser history so that all other websites cannot see what pages were recently visited by someone using your computer.

To make sure that only approved sites have access to information stored in Flash cookies (which are not visible in most browsers).
